Use the Theradome laser helmet 4 times a week for about 20 minutes per session. After 18 to 26 treatments, further hair loss will be prevented. After about 52 treatments of 20 minutes per session, the laser helmet will help grow your hair back. After you have achieved your desired result, we recommend to continue the treatment, less frequently, repeating the treatments at intervals of about five days.

A treatment is very simple. All you have to do is put the helmet on your head and press the large "on" button. The treatment of 20 minutes will start immediately. The helmet will keep you informed of the progress with its built-in speaker, giving you a quick update every 5 minutes. When the treatment is complete, the lasers will automatically turn off and you will hear that the treatment is finished. Should you wish to stop the treatment sooner, this is of course also possible.

Clinical studies have shown that the lasers in the Theradome laser helmet stimulate the growth of new and healthy hair. The lasers also slow hair loss and can even stop hair loss, even with hereditary hair loss. The positive effect of Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) on hair growth has been established in many independent studies. The exact way it works is still not fully explained. It is believed that the red light is absorbed by the skin and not by the sweat glands. For this reason, the energy balance of the skin can be stimulated specifically. The laser helmet is effective against hair loss due to the laser light that helps with the increase of ATP (an important form of fuel for cells) in the core of the cells on a molecular level. Additionally, the red laser light improves blood circulation, allowing your hair follicles to get more oxygen and nutrition. The harmful DHT molecules will less likely stick to your hair roots.

Due to the improved blood circulation and energy management, the hairs become healthier and will grow quicker and thicker. Inactive hair follicles may once again become active. In places with little hair growth, longer and more voluminous hair may start growing.

This 2023 study focused on the use of low-level laser therapy to accelerate and improve hair growth after chemotherapy in breast cancer patients. The aim was to see if laser therapy not only accelerates hair growth but also improves quality of life. The main findings are promising:

Acceleration of hair growth: The study showed that hair growth in the laser therapy group was one month faster compared to the control group. This means that patients who received laser treatments regained their hair faster than those who did not receive treatment.
Improvement in health and body image: Patients in the laser therapy group reported significantly better overall health and more positive body image at all measurement time points (1, 2 and 3 months after chemotherapy), while scores in the control group remained stable.

What is the difference between the LH40 laser helmet and the LH80 laser helmet?

The LH40 EVO contains 40 lasers, compared to the 80 lasers in the LH80 PRO. The lasers are of the same quality, but because there are fewer, the LH40 should be used more often. The LH40 needs be used 4x per week for 20 minutes, while the LH80 only needs to be used 2x per week for 20 minutes.

The LH80 is therefore ideal for people who want to spend little time on their hair growth treatment. If that is not a problem for you, then the LH40 may be for you.

Does the laser helmet get hot?

With other laser therapy products, such as laser combs and laser caps, a common complaint is that the product may feel hot on the head when used. The Theradome LH80 PRO laser helmet does not have this problem. Thanks to advanced ventilation shafts, the heat from the lasers is guided away preventing a build up of heat on the head. With the Theradome you will never suffer from uncomfortable warmth on your head.

If I buy a Theradome from Hairgivers, will I get a new helmet?

Can I use the Theradome more than four times a week?

Treatments were cleared by the FDA for four-times-a-week usage and we recommend following this regimen. However, there are people that use it every day with absolutely no side effects and excellent results. If you decide to go beyond our four-times-a-week recommended usage, please allow 12 - 24 hours of rest in between treatments.

Will the lasers reach my scalp if I have a somewhat full head of hair?

The Theradome has 80 lasers and rubber pegs that allow parting of thicker hair. We recommend using your Theradome after you get out of the shower and dry your hair.

How can I adjust the volume of the Theradome?

If you want to adjust the volume of the instructions, press the large button twice in succession. You hear a voice say "Theradome". When you click twice again, the volume changes. Keep doing this until the desired volume is reached.

I’m worried that the Theradome won’t fit my head. Do I need to worry about the helmet size?

The Theradome has been designed to fit 98% of the population. The 2% with size issues are generally people with smaller heads. For these customers, there are foam pads provided to ensure a correct fit. So regardless of your head size, you can order your Theradome with confidence that it will fit comfortably.

Are the lasers dangerous?

The lasers are of a red color, part of the visible spectrum of light, and not intense enough to cause damage to the eyes. Because the lasers are very bright, a three-step safety system has been implemented that prevents laser light from accidentally shining into your eyes. If you intentionally defeat this system, the lasers will still cause no harm, but we do not recommend staring into your Theradome on purpose.

Are there any contraindications?

Theradome devices should not be used in the case of current or past scalp cancer. The coherent-light stimulates activity in both healthy and unhealthy cells. If you are undergoing treatment for cancer, we recommend you consult your physician for any medical advice. Theradome has not been tested on people with scalp cancer. We do not recommend using the Theradome while pregnant or breastfeeding. Use Theradome after you finish breastfeeding. Theradome devices shall not be used by people with an Ommaya reservoir under their scalp without the approval of a specialist. Discontinue use AT ONCE should the device appear to be malfunctioning.

Can I use the Theradome if I have had a hair transplant?

Top hair restoration experts, such as Bosley Medical and Hair Club for Men, provide the Theradome to their patients. It works very well with pre-op patients and with those who are post-transplant. Transplants cause trauma to nearby hairs. Using the Theradome will alleviate these effects by providing extra energy and minimizing shock loss.

What is the difference between lasers and LEDs for hair growth?

Laser light travels in alignment, forming a coherent beam that maintains its full intensity and power. LED light, like a light bulb, spreads out in all directions, rapidly losing penetrative power as it travels. Many hair growth devices are made with LEDs, which are much less expensive to make, and do not have adequate power to penetrate the base of hair follicles and reverse hair loss.

Are there any medical conditions that may interfere with the effectiveness of Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)

Before considering any hair growth treatment, properly diagnosing the cause of your hair loss with a physician is essential. If you have any underlying medical conditions such as thyroid disease, anemia, are taking any medications, or if you have any possible scalp conditions such as psoriasis, please visit your doctor to address these medical concerns. Any underlying medical conditions can be the cause for seeing slower than average results with your Theradome.

How do I clean the Theradome?

The Theradome can be cleaned by simply wiping the inside and outside with a cloth to remove any oils or residue. You do not need a special cleaner.

Can I share the Theradome with others in my household?

Yes, the Theradome can be used by multiple family members, but the helmet’s counter will only track the total number of treatments – it cannot differentiate between users.

I am pregnant or breastfeeding. Can I use the Theradome?

We do not recommend using the Theradome helmet while being pregnant or while breastfeeding, unless specifically approved by your physician. Once you are done with breastfeeding, you can start using the Theradome to regrow and thicken your hair.

Great product that really works!

I used Finasteride for many years and stopped using it due to the well known problem. Now with Neofollics tablets and the Theradome 40 even better results. Hair is healthier, thicker and it just sits better. Very satisfied.

Really didn't expect it

Ivm a skin disease I had bald spots on my head where no hair had grown for years. I thought, let me try this, you never know. But after 3 months of using it, I see a lot of new hair growth in a place where nothing grew for 3 years. Can hardly be a coincidence.

Surprising result!

Since June 2024 I have been using my Theradome LH40 EVO laser helmet every other day and in November 2024 I started to see a difference. For this I took some pictures of my head from above at 2 month intervals which really show a very good result. Until today (May 2025) I put on my helmet every other day. In addition to the laser helmet, I did a course of Neofollics tablets, 3 months 3 times a day and then once a day, which I am still taking.
Unfortunately, half a year before I heard of the existence of this laser treatment, I had taken extensions which caused my already very fine hair to become even more damaged (read thinned out). So little hair was left that without the extensions (taken out November 2025) I couldn't even make a ponytail (the clip just slipped out).
Fortunately, off November my hair started to recover very well with lots of new hair all over my head. Massaging my scalp with Black Castor Oil, Weleda hair lotion and the Weleda hair oil I think also have a very good effect. My hair also seems to have gotten a lot darker but according to the hairdresser that is because it is much fuller on the scalp.
All in all: I can now wear a ponytail again, my hair is getting fuller and fuller and I am extremely happy because of this. If only I had known about this sooner. The tip about laser treatment from my extension hairdresser turned out to be worth gold to me!

easy to use

It is now 6 months that I have been using laser helmet together with neofollics tablets and shampoo, so far I have less hair loss and notice new hairs starts growing.

Product seems to have good effect

It's hard to tell right now, but it does seem like there is tentatively a bit more hair growth.
In any case, the product is very easy to use, I feel a slight tingle when I use it (but that's a good sign in my opinion).
By the way, my hair actually seems to get greasy a little faster instead of less greasy. Maybe that is a reaction to faster hair growth.
